About Estella
Since 2011, I have stayed in different countries & immersed myself in different cultures and practices.
I am Estella, an ashtanga practitioner & a 800hr (RYT) certified teacher.
I have learnt yoga from the source in India, over the last 10 years.
I teach mainly ashtanga & hatha yoga (online & offline), I give ashtanga workshops and I conduct my own 200h TTC in duo with Prashant ji, in various retreat/wellness centres worldwide.
I have decided to follow a less common life path growing and living in different countries over the last 12 years.
I am very grateful for this lifestyle that has helped me a lot on my spiritual growth journey.
Those valuable experiences have made me the person I am today & I truly believe that I am now where I am meant to be.
I believe yoga is neither a sport nor a hobby, it is a deep, nourishing & sacred lifestyle.
Yoga happens on & off the mat, throughout the whole day.
“ Each day, we do our best with a sincere heart; for ourselves & for others around us.
Working on focus, kindness & compassion. Building a simple routine, through commitment, devotion & discipline, I have learnt that it is the ‘everyday small steps‘ that matter the most ”. - Sharmila Desai.

My personal practice
My personal practice is based on the Ashtanga Yoga method.
Over the last 10 years, I have made a choice to practise and learn yoga from the source, in India.
Since my first trip to India in 2016, I have travelled to India as frequently as possible to keep learning.
I have started practising ashtanga vinyasa in France with my teacher Aurélie Grahek, who has been teaching and studying ashtanga, from the source (with Sharath Jois Ji, in Mysore, India, who is Sri Pattabhi Jois’ grandson), for over 20+ years.
She is a L2 authorized ashtanga teacher.
In 2023, I had the beautiful opportunity to teach my own Led ashtanga classes at her beautiful shala "Yogaowl" in Lyon, France.
I have also practised and learnt from very dedicated & knowledgeable certified or authorised teachers, who also studied from the source :
Sharmila Desai Ji (India),
Sonal Ji & Sandeep Ji Sharma (India),
Ritesh Raj Khanal Ji (Nepal),
Ajay Tokas (India)
and
Sachin Badoni Ji (in Rishikesh, India) with whom I have been practising & studying since 2023 in India.
He has taught me traditional ashtanga method and has learnt under the process of traditional guru lineage (parampara), with Sharath Jois Ji in Mysore, India.
Ashtanga vinyasa is part of my daily life as I practise every morning, 6 days a week.
